Despite the turbulence of recent times, the aviation sector is showing resilience, gradually rebounding from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and returning to its pre-pandemic vigor. In 2023, the global market size of the airline industry hovered just below $814.5 billion USD, marking a slight decline of three percent compared to its 2019 levels.

The Powerhouse: USA’s aviation dominance

The United States boasts the world’s largest airlines in terms of fleet size, workforce, and destinations served. Commercial aviation plays a vital role in the US economy, facilitating the movement of millions of passengers and vast quantities of cargo both domestically and internationally. Fuelled by a growing population and increasing disposable incomes, the demand for air travel in the US remains robust.

The surge in e-commerce and globalization has further propelled the demand for air cargo, with US airlines witnessing a significant uptick in passenger numbers, soaring by 30% year-on-year, as reported by Mordor Intelligence.

  • China Southern Airlines:

Leading China’s aviation prowess, China Southern Airlines boasts a fleet of 664 aircraft, including a mix of Airbus and Boeing models, with 155 new aircraft on the horizon.

  • Southwest Airlines:
