Born in 1988 in Ogun State, Nigeria, Oluwatobi Joshua’s upbringing was shaped by his family’s background in the automotive business. With his father being a reputable car dealer and owner of Squadron Motors, Oluwatobi developed a passion for prestigious brands like Mercedes and Peugeot.

His educational pursuits were equally important, attending the Nigerian Navy Primary School and the Nigerian Navy Secondary School. Later, he pursued higher education, earning a degree in Soil Sciences and Farm Mechanization from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Masters in Business Administration from the Lagos Business School.

Career Growth:

Oluwatobi’s career in the automotive industry took off during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program at West Associate Limited, Mercedes Benz Nigeria, where he gained invaluable skills and knowledge. Impressed by his capabilities, Mercedes-Benz Nigeria offered him a full-time position in their van division.

Under his leadership, the Nigerian branch witnessed unprecedented success, experiencing a significant increase in sales within a short span. Oluwatobi’s dedication and impressive track record earned him recognition and admiration among his colleagues.

The Journey to Entrepreneurship:

In 2014, driven by his desire to make a difference, Oluwatobi took a bold step and became an authorized dealer of Mercedes-Benz vans, leading to the establishment of Jetvan Automobiles Limited. However, he didn’t stop there. His aspirations went beyond being a dealer, and he dreamt of creating a homegrown Nigerian automobile brand with global competitiveness.
