Premier League midfielder Jack Grealish has been fined and given six penalty points after his £210,000 Lamborghini ran a red light in Liverpool.

The 30-year-old, currently on loan at Everton from Manchester City, was convicted after failing to tell police who was driving the car at the time.

Traffic Offence Conviction in Liverpool

Merseyside Police said the sky blue supercar went through a red light at 11:36pm on September 12. The vehicle crossed the signal 1.4 seconds after it turned red.

The following day, Grealish played in Everton’s 0-0 Premier League draw against Aston Villa.

Police later withdrew the original red light charge. However, Grealish was found guilty of failing to provide driver details when asked.

At Liverpool Magistrates’ Court, he received six penalty points. He was ordered to pay a £660 fine, £120 in costs, and a £264 victim surcharge, a total of £1,044.

Wider Road Enforcement Crackdown

Grealish was one of 2,101 people convicted last week for failing to identify a driver in traffic cases. Fines ranged from £1 to the legal maximum of £1,000.

Court records show the case was handled under a single justice procedure. Police had sent letters to addresses in Manchester and Cheshire, including a reported £5.6 million property.

Injury Ends Season

The England international, whose £100 million transfer to Manchester City in 2021 made him the most expensive British player at the time, recently confirmed his season has ended due to a stress fracture.

In an Instagram post from a hospital bed, he wrote: “Didn’t want the season to end like this but that’s football, gutted.”
