Ford, an American multinational automobile manufacturer has expanded its presence in the European market with the launch of the all-new Explorer EV cross-over. This family car features a blend of American design and German engineering, which helps the brand futureproof its electric aspirations.

The Ford Explorer, an all-electric SUV, represents the automaker’s next step in European expansion and demonstrates its commitment to developing EVs. It competes with the Volkswagen ID.5, Nissan ARIYA, and Kia EV5, positioning the Ford Mustang Mach-E alongside the Tesla Model Y and Audi e-Tron.

Martin Sander, General Manager, Ford Model E, Europe, said, “Explorer is a trailblazer for a new breed of exciting Ford electric vehicles. Steeped in our American roots but built in Cologne for our customers in Europe, it is road trip-ready for the big adventures and fully loaded with everything our customers will need for their daily drives.”

Ford has ensured that the Explorer is designed for daily use, with no compromise on functionality or range anxiety. The company provides access to 21,000 charging points in the UK through Ford’s Blue Oval Charging Network, allowing for convenient charging from 10% to 80% in just 25 minutes. By 2024, Explorer owners will have access to more than 500,000 charging points in 25 countries across Europe.

The Explorer is family-friendly, with five seats and 450 liters of storage, including a center console that can hold a laptop. It features an enhanced digital experience, centered around a 14.6” touchscreen infotainment system with wireless app integration. The driver’s seat has massage functionality, and the car comes with lane assist and cruise control, making long journeys more comfortable.
