Porsche has officially pulled the wraps off three new all-wheel-drive versions of its iconic 911 sports car. The 2026 lineup now includes the 911 Carrera 4S Coupe, Cabriolet, and Targa, all part of the refined 992.2 generation.
Each model is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, delivering 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. That’s a 30-horsepower gain over previous models, though torque remains unchanged. With the Sport Chrono package, the Carrera 4S can sprint from 0–60 mph in just 3.1 seconds. Top speed is rated at 191 mph when fitted with summer tyres.
These variants reintroduce the 4S badge to the lineup after a brief hiatus, bridging the gap between the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S and the more aggressive GTS. Porsche’s advanced Traction Management system favours rear-axle power but adjusts dynamically for added grip when required.
The 2026 models also receive upgraded features, including sport exhausts with silver tailpipes, suspension borrowed from the GTS, and improved brake components. While a manual gearbox remains unavailable, an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission is standard.
Design-wise, the new 4S models mirror the wider 992.2 family. Key exterior changes include reshaped air intakes and a more streamlined rear. Inside, the layout remains consistent with previous versions, a deliberate nod to the car’s heritage.
Final pricing is yet to be confirmed, but sources suggest starting figures around $156,000 for the Carrera 4S coupe, $170,000 for the cabriolet, and $171,000 for the Targa. Porsche fans seeking all-wheel-drive performance now have more choices than ever, blending control, power, and timeless design.
