In a small town in the heart of Michigan, a group of engineers and designers were hard at work on a revolutionary project. They were tasked with developing General Motors’ first self-driving car, a vehicle that would change the way people thought about transportation.

And with the launch of GM’s self-driving car, they had taken the first step towards a new era of transportation.  “Just as the automobile did more than a hundred years ago, we see that autonomous vehicles can positively change people’s lives forever,” the marque said.

Here are five things to know about GM’s self-driving car:

Safety is the top priority: GM’s self-driving car has been designed with safety as the top priority. It is equipped with advanced sensors and cameras that can detect obstacles and avoid accidents.

The car has undergone extensive testing: Before being unveiled to the public, the self-driving car underwent extensive testing on closed courses and public roads. The team wanted to ensure that the car was safe and reliable before releasing it to the public.

“Each of our current test vehicles has human driver controls and (i) a human driver known as an Autonomous Vehicle Trainer, or AVT, in the driver’s seat; and (ii) an additional support AVT in the front passenger seat. We will operate our self-driving vehicles with AVTs until they are capable of safe, fully driverless operation,” according to GM.

The car is designed for a variety of uses: The self-driving car has been designed for a variety of uses, including ride-sharing and delivery services. The team believes that the car has the potential to revolutionize the way people think about transportation.

The car is powered by electric batteries: The self-driving car is powered by electric batteries, which means that it is environmentally friendly and has zero emissions.
