Yacht lovers looking for a cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable way to explore the seas now have a bold new option. The Oceanwalker S60e, a fully solar-electric power catamaran, will launch in April 2026 and could mark a major shift in luxury marine travel.

Developed by Florida-based Revolution Marine Group, this 60-foot catamaran responds to the yachting industry’s growing push toward zero-emission solutions. With two 150 kW electric motors, it offers nearly silent sailing at up to 12 knots and a cruising speed between 7 and 8 knots, ideal for relaxed, eco-conscious sea voyages.

A 10 kW solar array powers onboard systems like air-conditioning, electric cooking, and laundry, giving seafarers the freedom to live off-grid for longer stretches. The yacht also includes two 45 kW diesel generators, extending the vessel’s range to an estimated 800 nautical miles when needed.

While the full interior layout has yet to be revealed, the S60e is expected to feature three or four cabins and spacious lounges with upscale finishes. The yacht’s first hull is being built at the Fujian Sky Walker shipyard in Zhangzhou, China, and the final delivery will be to the exclusive Club Ki’ama Bahamas.

Located near Great Exuma, Club Ki’ama is the world’s first solar-powered, shared-ownership yacht and residence club. Its debut Oceanwalker S60e will join a fleet of electric yachts and futuristic oceanfront residences, all powered by renewable energy. “This elegant, fully electric, solar yacht perfectly complements our sustainably constructed residences,” said Club Ki’ama’s managing partner, John Long.

Revolution Marine’s CEO Edward Sacks confirmed more innovation is coming. “This is just the beginning,” he said. “A larger solar-electric catamaran is already in development.”
