Giorgio Armani, one of Italy’s most celebrated fashion designers, has taken his signature luxury aesthetic to the high seas. In partnership with the Italian Sea Group, Armani has launched a striking 236-foot (72-metre) golden superyacht under the Admiral brand.
Unveiled at Marina di Carrara, Italy, the vessel combines military-grade engineering with the understated elegance Armani is known for. It’s the first of two yachts designed by the fashion mogul and is set to make its public debut at the Monaco Yacht Show later this year.
Crafted with satin-finished aluminum and stainless steel details, the megayacht features sweeping, curved lines and an eye-catching golden finish. Its design, inspired by the clean lines of military ships and the spatial efficiency of vintage vessels, also removes typical on-deck clutter, concealing infrastructure such as tenders.
The upper decks boast a unique “suspended terrace” layout, including an open-air lounge and helipad. Large floor-to-ceiling windows blur the boundaries between interior and sea, offering panoramic views and a bright, open ambiance on board.
Inside, Armani’s interior design arm—Armani/Casa—curated a lavish space marked by refined materials like Black Marquinia marble, golden Calacatta stone, and Canaletto walnut. Every detail reflects Armani’s signature luxury and restraint.
Giovanni Costantino, founder and CEO of the Italian Sea Group, described the project as “a creative journey that turned a dream into a reality that sails the seas with grace.” The collaboration reflects Armani’s expanding design vision and the Italian Sea Group’s technical prowess.
Armani’s relationship with the shipbuilder began in 2021 when he became a stakeholder in the group. This launch marks the beginning of a larger partnership, with a second yacht already in development. The Italian Sea Group also manages brands like Tecnomar, Perini Navi, and Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63.
With this project, Armani joins a select group of fashion houses—like Versace and Hermès—that have entered the world of superyacht design. But few have delivered a statement this bold or this golden.
