Bahrain’s desert sun exposed more than lap times on Thursday, as Formula 1 pre-season testing moved into its second day and early fault lines began to emerge across the grid.
Ferrari delivered the clearest signal of intent. Charles Leclerc topped the timesheets by over half a second, completing 139 laps across the day and focusing heavily on long-run data. While Leclerc downplayed outright pace, Ferrari’s clean execution stood out in a paddock already wrestling with reliability concerns.
