Etihad Airways brings first class luxury to short-haul flights

Etihad Airways has debuted its newest A321LR aircraft, featuring ultra-luxurious First Class Suites on a single-aisle jet. The UAE-based airline is the first to offer this level of comfort and exclusivity on short- to medium-haul routes. The new jets will fly to popular destinations like Milan, Bangkok, and Zurich, combining speed with signature Emirati hospitality.

A pair of enclosed First Suites, each designed to deliver a deeply personal and opulent experience. Passengers are treated to fully flat beds stretching 78.65 inches long and 21.5 inches wide. Each suite also includes a 20-inch 4K entertainment screen, Giorgio Armani loungewear, and à la carte dining at 30,000 feet.

A first-class journey before takeoff

Luxury begins long before passengers reach the aircraft. Etihad’s concierge team is on hand 24/7 to plan every step of the journey. Each First passenger also enjoys door-to-door chauffeur service, priority check-in, and a personal escort to the exclusive First Lounge.

For flyers departing from Abu Dhabi, Etihad offers Home Check-In and Land & Leave services, eliminating the need to handle luggage altogether. Once onboard, passengers are ushered directly to their private suites, continuing a seamless, high-touch experience from start to finish.

Business and economy still impress

The new A321LR doesn’t only cater to first-class travellers. The Business Class cabin includes 14 fully flat beds, each measuring 78 inches, along with 17.3-inch HD screens and generous storage. Economy class features 144 seats with 18.4-inch widths and a 5-inch recline, offering superior comfort for shorter journeys.

Passengers in every cabin can enjoy high-speed Wi-Fi, streaming, and live TV via the Viasat system. Whether flying for business or leisure, Etihad’s A321LR promises a connected, comfortable, and stylish experience throughout the aircraft.
