For the first time in its 94-year history, the iconic Monaco Grand Prix has a title sponsor—Swiss luxury watchmaker TAG Heuer. Known for its precision and ties to motorsport, TAG Heuer now names the Formula 1 TAG Heuer Grand Prix de Monaco, marking a milestone in the brand’s legacy.
The deal, announced during TAG Heuer’s 75th anniversary in Formula 1, underscores the watchmaker’s deep connection to speed and performance. “This partnership reflects our passion for motorsport and the relentless precision it demands,” said TAG Heuer CEO Antoine Pin.
TAG Heuer’s history with Monaco is as legendary as the race itself. From Niki Lauda to Ayrton Senna, many F1 greats have sported Heuer timepieces. The partnership not only honors those ties but also includes a renewed collaboration with the Automobile Club de Monaco, extending TAG Heuer’s role in the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique.
The deal comes as Formula 1’s popularity surges, with the series boasting 1.5 billion viewers annually. By aligning with Monaco—the sport’s most glamorous race—TAG Heuer is poised to expand its global reach. Analysts estimate that the sponsorship could generate millions in brand value, strengthening TAG Heuer’s standing as an F1 powerhouse.
“This is more than a sponsorship; it’s a celebration of shared heritage,” added Pin. “Monaco’s unforgiving streets and TAG Heuer’s precision timing are a perfect match.”
For motorsport fans and luxury enthusiasts alike, this partnership unites two icons in a race where timing defines victory.
