McLaren has unveiled the Artura Spider MCL39 Champion Edition, a rare, invite-only road car built to mark its 10th Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship title. Only ten units will be produced, each designed as a rolling tribute to the team’s championship-winning MCL39 race car.
Curated by McLaren Special Operations (MSO), the limited run is meant to blur the line between track success and road ownership. The company says the project is about making Formula 1 history tangible for its most loyal clients.
Formula 1 Heritage Meets Road Exclusivity
The Artura Spider MCL39 Champion Edition wears a bespoke Myan Orange and Onyx Black livery, hand-painted under the MSO Bespoke program. Ten stars appear on each car, symbolizing McLaren’s 10 Constructors’ titles. Buyers also receive signed carbon fiber sill finishers from drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, along with a track record plaque listing their 2025 wins, poles, and fastest laps.
Inside, the cabin continues the theme with “10” embroidery on the headrests, a Myan Orange steering wheel marker, and a custom center console plaque confirming its place in the ultra-limited series.
No Power Increase, Same Hybrid Performance
Despite its exclusivity, the car retains the standard McLaren Artura Spider powertrain. The 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 paired with an electric motor produces 691 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. McLaren says the car still reaches 62 mph in 3.0 seconds and tops out at 205 mph.
The lack of a power bump makes clear that this is not a performance upgrade, but a brand and heritage statement.
Invitational-Only Ownership
McLaren will not sell the Champion Edition through dealerships. Buyers must be selected directly, placing the model firmly in the realm of luxury automotive collectibles, where rarity, provenance, and motorsport success drive long-term appeal.
