7 Star Global Hangar Limited, West and Central Africa’s first private aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization, is transforming the aviation sector. Licensed by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the company has the largest maintenance capabilities in sub-Saharan Africa, handling renowned aircraft brands like Boeing, Bombardier, and Airbus.
Rising Above Challenges
Founded in 2012, 7 Star Global Hangar did not merely aim to enter the market but to transform it. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a period when global aviation faced unprecedented challenges, the company launched its premium airline operations.
As the aviation firm expands its footprint, Managing Director Isaac Balami revealed ambitious plans, including the launch of 7 Star Global Airlines, Africa’s first premium airline, amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. “Safety is our watchword, and we aim for zero incidents or accidents,” Balami stated, adding that the airline will operate with five helicopters and ten Embraer E-145 jets, marking a significant milestone in African aviation.
A Hub for Comprehensive Aviation Services
The company’s expansive hangar at Lagos’ MM2 Domestic Wing features ample space to accommodate up to 15 aircraft at once. Its state-of-the-art facilities handle line and heavy maintenance, ensuring that aircraft reliability is never compromised. Services include Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), aircraft upholstery, wheels and brakes maintenance, and Fixed Base Operations (FBO).
Balami, highlighting the company’s strategy in an interview, said “We have developed systems to ensure efficient service delivery, tailored to meet our clients’ unique needs. This is how we aim to become the best service provider globally.”
A Vision of Perfection
The company recently received its Airline Transport License (ATL) from the federal government, solidifying its position as a pioneer in African aviation. 7 Star Global Airlines is set to operate both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, offering premium services that blend safety, luxury, and efficiency.
The airline is driven by a vision of perfection, as its name suggests. “Being called ‘7 Star’ is not just branding,” Balami said. “It reflects our commitment to excellence, ensuring passengers experience nothing but the best.”
Delivering Excellence to Africa and Beyond
Beyond its technical operations, 7 Star Global Hangar fosters innovation through tailored aviation training and consultancy services. It also facilitates aircraft acquisition, sales, and leasing for clients across Africa. With a skilled workforce of 36 employees and access to advanced technologies, the company bridges a gap in the continent’s aviation sector.
“7 Star Global Airlines aims to not only compete with but also surpass global aviation standards,” Balami said. “Our goal is to set a benchmark that the world can admire and emulate.”
A Future in Motion
From customized aircraft interiors to VIP ground support, 7 Star Global creates experiences that resonate with luxury and efficiency. The company’s VIP lounge, located next to the Nigerian Air Force Hangar, offers top-notch services in a secure environment.
