Racing enthusiasts, in anticipation of the 96th Australian Grand Prix, are on the edge of their seats as anticipation builds for the adrenaline-packed event set to commence in Melbourne.

“think so far this weekend it’s been a bit tough to find a good balance in the car. And even throughout qualifying, Q1, Q2, I didn’t really feel like fighting for pole. But then we made some little tickles on the car and that seemed to help me in Q3 to really push it to the limit.” Verstappen said, exuding confidence ahead of the race.

Verstappen will be accompanied on the front row by Carlos Sainz, who displayed impressive speed and skill throughout the qualifying sessions. However, the qualifying results saw Sergio Perez penalized and relegated to the sixth position due to impeding Nico Hulkenberg during Q1.

“The competition is fierce, but I’m ready to give it my all and strive for a podium finish,” Sainz expressed, embodying the spirit of sportsmanship amidst the intense rivalry.

Meanwhile, the legendary Lewis Hamilton faced unexpected challenges during qualifying and will start from the 11th position, setting the stage for a thrilling comeback drive.

“I definitely think we’ll have a faster race car than we had qualifying car, but ultimately we know where we need to improve and that’s the high-speed corners. [At] this circuit there’s quite a few of those around here, but all to play for tomorrow,” Hamilton told F1 News, reflecting his determination to overcome setbacks.

Less than 24 hours to the race, local fans have their eyes on Oscar Piastri and Daniel Ricciardo, representing Australia in the prestigious event. Piastri secured a respectable fifth position, while Ricciardo faced a tougher qualifying session, starting from the 18th spot.

As the excitement mounts, the provisional starting grid sets the stage for a riveting contest among the world’s top drivers:

1. Max Verstappen (Red Bull)
2. Carlos Sainz (Ferrari)
3. Lando Norris (McLaren)
4. Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
5. Oscar Piastri (McLaren)
