The Gulf Superyacht Summit 2025 has secured two powerful backers, as P&O Marinas and German shipbuilder Lürssen confirmed sponsorship, highlighting the region’s rise as a global hub for luxury yachting.

The two-day event will take place on December 4–5, 2025, at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers, drawing investors, yacht owners, shipbuilders, and maritime service providers from across the world. Now in its seventh edition, the summit aims to educate, connect, and inspire stakeholders shaping the $64 billion superyacht industry.

P&O Marinas, under whose patronage the event is being held, said its sponsorship reflects the Middle East’s ambition to expand its role in global luxury maritime tourism. “The Gulf has the coastline, the infrastructure, and the ambition to become a year-round destination for superyachts,” said a P&O Marinas spokesperson.

Lürssen, one of the world’s most prestigious yacht builders and the creator of Azzam, the 180-metre vessel considered the longest private yacht globally, also confirmed its continued support. The company has sponsored the summit since 2023, strengthening ties with its core Gulf market.

The summit has grown in influence, attracting more than 50 family offices, senior yacht captains, and owner representatives in 2024, according to event organisers. This year, sponsors include platinum partners D Marin, Bering Yachts, Abu Dhabi Maritime and Maritime Cook Islands, alongside gold and silver backers such as Gulf Craft, MB92 Group, Sunreef Yachts, Lloyds Register, and Camper & Nicholsons.

Analysts say the Gulf’s rise as a luxury yachting hub mirrors a broader tourism and investment strategy. The region’s governments have invested billions into ports, waterfront developments, and marine services to attract wealthy visitors who spend heavily on leisure.

Tickets for the Gulf Superyacht Summit 2025 are now on sale, with early bird passes expected to sell out quickly. The full agenda, including keynote speakers and discussion panels, will be announced in the coming weeks.
