Porsche Design has unveiled a special chronograph that complements the new convertible vehicle, the Porsche 718 Spyder RS, including its Weissach package variant.
Meticulously crafted in Porsche’s own horology manufacture, the 718 Spyder RS watch boasts a lightweight titanium case and a design focused on performance. It features sporty totalizers and eye-catching Racing Yellow hour and minute hands.
The scratch-resistant and anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures excellent legibility from any angle, while the ceramic hour and minute indices are treated with Super-LumiNova® for enhanced readability in low-light conditions. The bezel, available in tachymeter or minute dial versions, mirrors the aesthetic of the corresponding automotive component.
As a timepiece designed to complement an extraordinary car, the Porsche Design Chronograph 718 Spyder RS is far from an everyday watch. Its open caseback reveals a rotor inspired by the signature wheel of the roadster. Powering the chronograph is the WERK 01.200, an in-house caliber certified by COSC (Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute), equipped with a flyback function.
The Porsche Design Chronograph 718 Spyder RS is now available for purchase, starting at $8,800 USD, upon acquiring the Porsche 718 Spyder RS car with or without the Weissach package. Each timepiece comes with a uniquely numbered plaque and is presented in a premium watch box. For further customization options, including color variations, customers can explore the brand’s online timepiece configurator for more details.
