Seiko 5 Sports watch, a Japanese watchmaker, released four limited-edition ‘Customise’ watches to celebrate its 55th anniversary.
Each piece in the Seiko 5 Sports ‘Customize’ Limited Edition collection was designed by fans who participated in the ‘Customize’ contest.
For the contest, fans were permitted to design their own versions of the Seiko 5 Sports watch while incorporating elements from the 1968 model. The final four contestants were selected based on the number of votes they received, with each contestant representing a different region or country, including Europe, the Americas, Japan, and Asia.

The European design edition is distinguished by its bold and bright orange dial with a sporty bezel design. The Americas design edition, meanwhile, takes a more traditional approach with a black dial, a monochromatic bezel, and gold-toned indices. The dial and bezel of the Japan-designed watch are entirely silver, and Arabic numerals are absent from the bezel.
Regarding the Asia design edition, the timepiece is copper-colored from head to toe and has a stainless steel case that has been plated with gold. The bezel is burgundy with white indicators and numbers to complement the opulent appearance. The indices are accented with the same coppery hue, whereas the hour, minute, and second hands have silver accents.
Each variation will be released as a 1,968-piece limited edition, with a 42.5mm case size and Seiko’s 4R36 automatic and manual winding calibres.
