Smart has unveiled its most powerful production vehicle to date, the new smart 5 BRABUS.
Positioned as the peak performer in the lineup, the electric SUV blends space-efficient design with aggressive performance engineering. Developed in partnership with BRABUS GmbH, the vehicle targets drivers who want individuality, speed, and premium technology, without abandoning electric mobility.
Electric Performance SUV With Supercar Acceleration
At the heart of the model is an electric drivetrain producing up to 475 kW, paired with a flexible all-wheel-drive system. Launch Mode enables acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, placing the vehicle firmly in the high-performance category.
Built on an 800-volt EV platform, the smart #5 BRABUS supports high-speed DC charging of up to 400 kW. Under optimal conditions, the 100-kWh battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes, delivering a driving range of up to 540 kilometers under WLTP standards.
BRABUS Design and Interior Engineering
Visually, the SUV features 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels, red brake calipers, and exclusive exterior badging. Inside, microfiber seats with DINAMICA® accents, ventilated and heated seating, and a panoramic halo roof emphasize comfort and sport-focused luxury.
The Alcantara steering wheel features illuminated BRABUS branding, while Ambient Light+ offers 256 customizable color options, reinforcing the vehicle’s premium positioning.
Technology, Sound, and Long-Term Partnership
The cockpit includes two 13-inch OLED screens for the driver and passenger. Audio is delivered through a Sennheiser Signature Sound System with 20 speakers and up to 1,190 watts, supporting stereo, surround, and full Dolby Atmos formats.
The model continues a partnership between smart and BRABUS spanning more than 20 years, now fully aligned with electric mobility.
In Germany, the Smart 5 BRABUS will be priced from €60,900, positioning it firmly within premium electric vehicle pricing territory.
