Nigerian e-mobility firm SiltechWorld has become the first African company to export a fully made-in-Nigeria electric vehicle (EV) to the United States, in a milestone hailed as proof that Africa can compete in high-tech global markets.

The vehicle, named the Elohim-Falcon, is built entirely from recycled and locally sourced materials, a move the company says underscores both innovation and sustainability. Earlier this year, a custom-built unit was delivered to a U.S. dignitary, marking the start of Nigeria-to-the-world EV exports.

“This is more than a car; it’s a symbol of resilience and proof that Nigeria can create world-class technology,” said Tolu Williams, founder and chief product technology officer at SiltechWorld’s parent firm, Savenhart Investment Limited.

SiltechWorld recently acquired the Siltech Innovation Plant, expanding its capacity to design and build vehicles from scratch in Nigeria rather than assembling imported kits. The company said the facility would power the “Elohim Project,” a long-term plan to scale indigenous EV production.

Industry analysts say the breakthrough could make Africa a serious player in the clean transport sector, with global investors eyeing opportunities in sustainable technology. “Local innovation meeting global demand is a game-changer,” Williams said.
