Collectors, get ready. Porsche is bringing back the groove with a limited-edition 911 that pays homage to the bold, stylish flair of the 1970s.

Revealed at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show, the Porsche 911 Spirit 70 celebrates the golden age of disco with a design that blends nostalgia and performance. Only 1,500 units will be produced globally, making it one of the most exclusive variants of the 992.2 generation.

The convertible is finished in a striking Olive Neo green, contrasted by a black soft-top roof and windscreen frame. Retro details abound: a vintage-style crest, gold badging, and a decal package featuring hood stripes and racing-style number 70 gumballs on the doors.

Inside, the retro flair continues with Porsche’s classic Pasha pattern inserts on the seats, doors, and glove compartment. The cabin cleverly inverts the car’s exterior color palette, making every inch feel like a throwback to a more flamboyant automotive era.

Under the hood, the Spirit 70 packs more than just style. Based on the Carrera GTS Cabriolet, it features a hybrid powertrain combining a 3.6-litre flat-six engine with an electric motor, delivering a potent 532 horsepower and 449 lb-ft of torque. This setup propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, with a top speed of 194 mph.

Set to start at $242,250 in the U.S., the Spirit 70 is more than just a car—it’s a celebration of Porsche’s heritage and a bold statement for collectors. With only 1,500 units available, demand is expected to surge among enthusiasts worldwide.
