Genesis, the luxury automotive brand, has taken the automotive world by storm with the unveiling of its latest creation, the GV60 Magma concept. Revealed in a pre-New York auto show event, this concept car signals the emergence of a new lineup of potent and dynamic Genesis models.
Derived from Genesis’s inaugural electric vehicle platform, the GV60 Magma promises a blend of power and sophistication. While specific technical details remain undisclosed, industry experts speculate that it may draw inspiration from its siblings, boasting performance figures akin to the 576-horsepower EV6 GT or the 641-horsepower Ioniq 5 N.
The design of the GV60 Magma is as formidable as its performance aspirations. With muscular wheel arches housing vents, a prominent rear wing, and a revamped front bumper for improved cooling, the concept exudes athleticism. Not to be outdone, the interior reportedly features bucket seats and premium upholstery adorned with orange stitching, promising a blend of comfort and sportiness.
But the GV60 Magma is just the beginning. Genesis showcased a series of vehicles under its Magma program, including the GV80 Coupe concept and the G80 Magma Special. Additionally, plans are underway to introduce “high-performance” Magma variants for every vehicle in the current Genesis lineup, from sedans like the G70, G80, and G90 to crossovers such as the GV70 and GV80.
The announcement was met with anticipation from both automotive enthusiasts and industry insiders. Notably, six-time Le Mans winner Jacky Ickx, who recently joined Genesis as a brand partner, expressed enthusiasm for the GV60 Magma concept, hinting at the excitement that lies ahead for Genesis’s performance endeavours.
