Vacheron Constantin has just unveiled a new version of the overseas chronograph featuring a sporty yet sophisticated “panda” design in two tones.
“Panda” features a silver-toned dial with a sunburst satin finish, combined with a velvet-finished flange and black snailed counters for contrast. The indexes are coated with 18-karat white gold, whereas the hands are accentuated with Super-LumiNova. It comes with an easy-to-use interchangeable bracelet system that allows the wearer to switch between the steel bracelet, calfskin leather strap, and black rubber strap without the use of tools, reflecting the collection’s diverse yet elegant aesthetics.
Likewise, the watch houses the watchmaker’s self-winding calibre 5200, which is visible via the sapphire caseback. Equipped with a dual barrel, a column wheel, and a Maltese cross-shaped screw that regulates the chronograph function of the watch, the calibre possesses remarkable technical performance. The mechanical movement features 52 jewels and a 22-karat gold oscillating weight, and it oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour.
