General Motors (GM) is making history as the first-ever vehicle brand in the industry with three all-electric trucks as it adds the GMC 2024 Sierra EV to its existing portfolio.
This addition makes GMC the sole automaker that will provide customers with three different electric truck options. The upcoming Sierra EV will join the highly popular GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV2 in the brand’s all-electric lineup. All three vehicles are built on GM’s Ultium Platform, a revolutionary technology that enables exceptional adaptability and optimal performance for electric trucks.
“This is the Denali of EVs — and a truck that is every bit a GMC,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC. “That means it leaves nothing on the table when it comes to hauling, towing and overall power while unlocking even more possibilities around what a GMC pickup can offer.”
The 2024 Sierra EV is designed to be a game-changer, offering customers a new level of technology, capability, and performance. The electric pickup truck is built on the same platform as the Hummer EV, which means it shares some of the same features as the super-truck. However, the 2024 Sierra EV is tailored to cater to the needs of everyday pickup truck owners.
The Sierra EV has a bold exterior design that is unmistakably GMC. The front grille features an illuminated “GMC” logo that gives the vehicle a distinctive look. The truck is available in two body styles: a crew cab with a short bed and a crew cab with a standard bed. The short bed measures 5.8 feet, while the standard bed measures 6.6 feet. The truck’s length is 231.7 inches, making it a full-size pickup truck.
The 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1 will be available at launch in early 2024.
