The latest hypercars and supercars are lighter, sleeker, and more powerful than previous models. This year’s list covers the top four quickest automobiles in the world from luxury automakers.
The Devel Sixteen worth $1.6 million seeks to smash all of the current records it faces, with an incredible 5,007 horsepower, an 81mm Quad Turbo 12.3L V16 engine, and a claimed top speed of 347mph (or 550+kph). Although the V16 Devel Sixteen remains in development, a V8 version has been released with a verified top speed of 124 mph (200 kph).
Introducing the Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut, a $3.4 million hypercar that reaches a top speed of 330mph (or 531kph). It’s not just about speed, though. The Jesko Absolut is also built for comfort, with climate control, infotainment, and head/legroom features.
The CFD team meticulously went over every inch and design detail of the car, defining the elements needed to get to the drag coefficient even lower than the target of 0.28 Cd, to just 0.278 Cd.
The Hennessey Venom F5 is a part of John Hennessey’s Venom line, named after the fastest type of tornado. This American-made twin-turbocharged engine has almost 2,000 horsepower, can reach a top speed of 301mph (484 kilometers per hour), and can accelerate from 0-100kph or 0-60mph in less than two seconds.
The Bugatti Bolide is a lightweight hypercar with a $4.7 million price tag. With the same bespoke engine from the Chiron line and more turbos to amplify the effect, the Bolide showcases the true extent of Bugatti’s range in terms of beauty, power, and innovation. The Bolide only stands 39.2 inches off the ground and has a claimed top speed of 311mph (500 kph).
