Several facts and screenshots believed to be from a closed beta version of the game, now called as “Lego 2K Drive,” have been released on Reddit.
This game is expected to be a PvP multiplayer game with battle elements, inspired by classic Lego racing games. Players will compete on tracks that allow them to switch between “on-road, off-road, and water” modes, with power-ups and goodies distributed across the maps. Furthermore, the game is likely to have customization features for both vehicles and Minifigures, relying on Lego’s building and play base.
The recent disclosures appear to confirm last year’s allegations that 2K is working on a number of Lego projects, including an “open-world driving game” developed by Visual Concepts.
Although 2K has yet to confirm the leaked details, the official Lego Twitter account is teasing an announcement of a cooperation with 2K on March 23.
2K, a company founded in 2005, designs and develops interactive entertainment for video game consoles, personal computers, and mobile devices, with retail and digital download options.
