Maserati, an Italian marque, introduced three innovative models of their latest GranTurismo grand tourer during Milan’s Design Week. The highly anticipated models include two one-off pieces and a special edition, Maserati’s first all-electric ‘Folgore’ powered version. The brand’s newest designs honour the GranTurismo’s decade-long evolution, maintaining the essential design pillars while incorporating forward-thinking technical anatomy.
Also, Maserati’s exclusive 300-piece GranTurismo launch edition PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary took center stage, with clean-lined elegance and refined beauty. It was joined by a new 100% electric Folgore model in a copper-tinted “Rame Folgore” and a bold Aqua “Blu Inchiostro,” along with a second version containing an internal combustion engine.
The new-age GranTurismo is accompanied by two one-off car art pieces, designed by the brand’s head of design, Klaus Busse. The GranTurismo One-off Prisma showcases 12 shades derived from Maserati’s most iconic past cars and two that look ahead to the future of the brand. With 8,500 hand-applied letter embellishments, the Prisma pays homage to the brand’s heritage.
The GranTurismo One-off Luce is the final design in the new line-up, featuring a “high frequency” engraving on its chrome body, regenerated nylon ECONYL® interiors, and full-electric Folgore engine. Maserati is weaving supreme car craftsmanship with progressive sustainability, highlighting how the brand is employing modern technology to maintain the GranTurismo’s timeless look.
Klaus Busse shared his thoughts on the designs, stating, “GranTurismo Prisma is an ode to our 75-year heritage and to the know-how that has imbued all the cars Maserati has made over time. GranTurismo Luce is our future, looking ahead, in perfect balance with Prisma.”
To celebrate the launch of the new designs, Maserati hosted a special event at its new Maserati store, where esteemed guests were in attendance. The three innovative models will travel across the world for a series of Maserati GranTurismo celebration events, allowing car enthusiasts to experience the new models up close and personal.
