In May 2023, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) unveiled its range of mass-produced Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles following the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government.
Among these eco-friendly vehicles showcased at the Nnewi factory on June 6th was the IVM 6110A bus, boasting a capacity of 100 passengers, with seating for 55 and standing space for 45.
Designed to excel in city commuting, the IVM 6110A bus prioritizes passenger comfort. Equipped with front and rear automated doors, it ensures convenience, efficiency, and enhanced safety.
Inside, luxury seats and air conditioning provide passengers with a level of comfort beyond typical public transportation.
Moreover, a built-in multimedia system allows passengers to enjoy audio-visual content during their journey.
Safety features include a reverse alarm switch, alerting pedestrians and other road users when the bus is backing up, and an Air Braking System (ABS), providing added control and stability.
Under the hood, the IVM 6110A runs on an 8.3L Cummins Engine EQC300, a bifuel engine capable of using both diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). This eco-friendly feature contributes to reduced emissions, lower fuel costs, and extended engine life.
Innoson takes pride in the IVM 6110A CNG bus, seeing it as a symbol of their commitment to sustainable, comfortable, and safe public transportation.
This vehicle represents a leap forward in the public transport sector, promoting a greener, more sustainable future without compromising on passenger comfort and safety.
